Complex parts

Here is a list of the most complex parts on the winch.

Teeth belt pulley for drum

This pulley is based on the normal pulley you can buy everywhere and Aliexpress, etc. It has 60 teeth 8M and a bore of Ø25mm.

Is it the most complex part of the winch, but not impossible to produce.

I have modified the pulley by removing the belt position flanges on each side.
The reces on the one side is reduced to match the inner diameter of the drum.
Six holes are drilled in the pulley, that are used to mount the drum with 6 hooks.

You need a friend with a metal lathe to modify this.

The reces of the pulley is made aprox. 0.03mm bigger than the inner diameter of the drum, to get a light interference fit.

LockTite could also be a solution if it is difficult to achieve a high precision.

“Sprocket carrier” for drum

In the other end of the drum, is used a sprocket carrier to fix the drum to the shaft.
The normal diameter of the reces is Ø116, but it has to be reduced to fit the inner diameter of the drum.
The six standard holes also needs to be moved with 3 mm.

You need a friend with a metal lathe to modify this.

“Pulley for motor

The pulley for the motor is a bit easier, as it does not require a very fine tolerance. The bore of the pulley just need to be Ø55 to match the Rota-Fix locking element.

I have 3D-printed a fixture to fix the pulley in the lathe.
